Eike Wittrock

Biography

Eike Wittrock is a dance scholar and curator. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on “Arabesques: The Ornamental in the Ballet of the Early Nineteenth Century” in the framework of the German Research Foundation’s graduate program “Schriftbildlichkeit” at the Freie Universität in Berlin. He has worked as a dramaturge with artists such as Jeremy Wade, Johannes Müller und Peaches, and co-founded the Julius Hans Spiegel Center for Exoticism in the Modern Dance World with Anna Wagner. Currently he is working at the Freie Universität in Berlin in the German Research Foundation’s research project “Bilder von Bewegung – Tanzfotografie 1900-1920” and at the International Summer Festival at Kampnagel.
