Luise Meier

Biography

Luise Meier is a freelance writer, college dropout and waitress, born in 1985 in East Berlin. She has studied philosophy, culture, literature and social and cultural anthropology in Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder). 

Her book “MRX Maschine” was published in 2018 by Verlag Matthes & Seitz Berlin. Luise Meier worked as a dramaturge for the project STÖRLAUT by the artist, performer, choreographer and dancer Jule Flierl. In addition she has written several cultural-critical essays on the topics of capitalism, the women’s movement, the Brothers Karamazov, drones, terror, Rosa Luxemburg, Valeska Gert, as well as on the film and poster campaign “KEEP IT REAL” from HAU Hebbel am Ufer. In March 2019, as part of the festival “Comrades, I Am Not Ashamed of My Communist Past”, she took part in the podium discussion “DDR neu erzählen!” along with Klaus Lederer, Karsten Krampitz and Carola S. Rudnick on the topic of the politics of memory.
