Vladimir Miller

Biography

Vladimir Miller lives in Berlin and in Vienna. The focus of his work lies on the notions of space and perception in the arts, in research-specific contexts and during performances. His often collaborative practice results in installations, scenography, performances, dramaturgy and video. In recent years Vladimir Miller collaborated on a number of works with the choreographers Philipp Gehmacher, Meg Stuart and Christine de Smedt. Among the works created with Philipp Gehmacher are the video installations "Dead reckoning"(2009) and "at arm'slength"(2010)as well as the space installation for Gehmacher’s piece "in their name"(2010). In collaboration with Meg Stuart and Philipp Gehmacher, he created "the fault lines", which premiered at the Springdance Festival in Utrecht in2010, Vladimir Miller teaches postgraduate arts students of a.pass in Brussels. In collaboration with a.pass he is exploring space in the context of a series of collaboratively curated work spaces, so-called 'Settlements'.
