For the “Spy on Me#2 – Artistic Manoeuvres for the Digital Present – Online Programme” the artist James Bridle recorded his lecture “Other Intelligences” in Greece, his place of residence. With this we will open the programme as planned on 20 March at 7pm, but now online. In his lecture Bridle asks: What does the current AI hype say about us? Why are we so obsessed with a technology that could control or destroy us? In the first part of his lecture, Bridle deals with these questions based on his succesful book “New Dark Age. Technology and the End of the Future,” which was also published in German last year. These are the questions that the artist James Bridle, whose book “New Dark Age” was published last year. He then suggests some manoeuvres for the future with which we can already start here and now. What might we learn from animals, plants and ecological systems? Which technologie do we want to use? What type of intelligence do we want?
