In his most recent work Benny Claessens deals with familiar and forgotten moments in the history of the representation of women. On stage performers Rob Fordeyn and Teresa Vittucci deconstruct the mythology of woman as created by man, summoning up the sensual awakening of a new cult, the female resistance and the turn of societal conditions in favor of a luscious life full of desire, ecstasy and fulfillment. After the successful HAU production “The Last Goodbye/Vibrant Matter“ in June 2018, Claessens now returns to HAU Hebbel am Ufer.
