Dear audience,

on March 10, Berlin’s Senator for Culture and Europe Klaus Lederer informed the public that cultural events in Berlin with 500 visitors or more can no longer take place and that the organizers* of venues with a lower capacity must individually decide whether to continue their program—this measure was taken to contain the further spread of the corona virus (COVID-19). We would like to deal with the situation at hand in a responsible manner and unfortunately have to draw the following consequences: The event “‘El estado opresor es un macho violador’” – Geschichten von Frauen und Gewalt” will be performed without an audience. Instead we will set up a live stream for you. You can find the corresponding link on our website from 5 pm onwards. We would be happy if you follow the event online and spread the link! Already purchased tickets will be refunded. Please send an e-mail to service@hebbel-am-ufer.de. We hope for your understanding.

Their choreography has been copied at demonstrations around the world: LASTESIS, with their performance “A Rapist in Your Path” have triggered a global movement against sexualized violence. To mark the occasion of the publication of the book “AktenEinsicht. Geschichten von Frauen und Gewalt” the Chilean collective is now coming to HAU to discuss violence against women, legal practice, and forms of resistance with the author and family lawyer Christina Clemm and the Indian feminist Prasanna Gettu (Anne Klein Award Winner 2020).
