In mental asylum, the Marquis de Sade revolts together with the other inmates. But who rebels against whom? Who determines what to do? And who may represent whom? The performance collective Monster Truck stages this famous play by Peter Weiss with an amateur cast from Bochum. It is a game between inclusion and execution, between theatre stage and home for the disabled, between power and powerlessness.
It is not the first time Monster Truck has dealt with the staging of disability by non-disabled people. Their meta-plays "Dschingis Khan" (2012) and "Regie" (2014) were created in collaboration with the Thikwa actors Sabrina Braemer, Johnny Chambilla and Oliver Rincke.
