The web site kollektiv-betriebe.org brings together a diversity of Berlin based companies ranging from cinema, taxi firms, printers to organic food shops and many more. What unites them is the collective way of working and an "...everyday collective attempt to organise economically, with the ideal of social responsibility foremost and for the aim of work not to be primarily about the most efficient output and profit. Somewhere between the appropriation of the means of production and self exploitation, emancipation and precariousness, the question arises, are collectives perhaps a treasure trove for the day before the morning after capitalism?"
