On 20 May 2020, the Fonds Darstellende Künste (Performing Arts Fund) will award the Tabori Prize, the highest award for the independent performing arts in the Federal Republic of Germany, for the 11th time. This year's prize jury, consisting of Sabine Gehm (Tanz Bremen), Martina Grohmann (Theater Rampe), Ilka Schmalbauch (Deutscher Bühnenverein), Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schneider (University of Hildesheim), Aenne Quiñones and Annemie Vanackere (HAU Hebbel am Ufer), Holger Bergmann (Fonds Darstellende Künste, advisory), will select the winners among all groups and artists who have been selected and promoted by the Fonds Darstellende Künste in the past 5 years.

With the Tabori Prize, endowed with 20.000€, this jury of experts thus honours continually visible work with a high national and international influence that is simultaneously relevant in content, sometimes provocative and has an aesthetically innovative signature.

As the public award ceremony cannot take place this year, the winners will be honoured in a way that is unique in the history of the Tabori Prize: the 2020 winners will be announced in an online award ceremony at www.fonds-daku.de/tabori-preis-2020/ and www.facebook.com/FondsDarstellendeKuenste/
