Thinking #unteilbar – a public think tank: On difficult solidarities

With Max Czollek, Sabine Hark, Uwe Meinhardt, Sharon Dodua Otoo, Anna Stiede, Koray Yılmaz-Günay / Moderation: Margarita Tsomou / Graphic Recording: Yorgos Konstantinou

Dialogue

German / 120 Min.

On 13 October, 2018, a quarter million people responded to the call #unteilbar and took to the streets of Berlin for social justice and an open society. They showed that civil society is standing together in the face of uncertain times, increasing hate and political authoritarianism – despite different perspectives and starting points. Together with the #unteilbar team and the feminist theorist and sociologist Sabine Hark (Wir Machen Das) HAU Hebbel am Ufer is extending an invitation to a series of public think tanks, meant to encourage a process of understanding and reflection about the potentials of #unteilbar politics and possible alliances. Figures from the whole spectrum of #unteilbar will come together at a round table discussion – open, controversial and constructive. The series will kick off with a discussion about solidarity. After a keynote lecture on the term by Sabine Hark, Max Czollek (author “Desintegriert Euch!”), Sharon Dodua Otoo (author), Anna Stiede (Frauenstreik), Koray Yılmaz-Gümay (board of directors at Rat für Migration & Flüchtlingsrat Berlin) will discuss with Margarita Tsomou the opportunities and challenges of acting in solidarity today.
