Cookies
Like many other websites we use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small pieces of text data that are transferred from a website’s server to your hard drive. By means of them we automatically receive certain data, such as IP address, browser used, operating system and your connection to the internet.
Cookies cannot be used to start programmes or to transfer viruses to a computer. Using the information received by the cookies we can make navigating our website easier for you and can ensure that our website appears correctly.
Under no circumstances do we pass the data received to any third party, nor do we create a connection with personal data without your consent.
Of course, in principle you can also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. In general you can deactivate the use of cookies at any time in your browser’s settings. Please use the help function of your internet browser to find out how you can change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

SSL encryption
In order to protect your data during transfer, we use the latest encryption operations (such as SSL) through HTTPS.

Newsletter
Based on your express consent, we regularly send our newsletter or comparable information to the email address that you have given us.
To receive the newsletter it is sufficient to give us your email address. When you register to receive the newsletter the data given by you are used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers can also be informed by email about circumstances that are relevant for service or registration (for instance alterations in the newsletter offerings or technical matters).
For registration we need a valid email address. In order to verify that a registration does in fact come from the holder of an email address, we use the “double-opt-in” operation. Use of Matomo
This website uses Matomo (previously Piwik), an open source software for evaluating statistics on internet hits. Matomo uses so-called cookies, that is, text data that are saved on your computer and that facilitate analysis of how you use the website.
The information generated by the cookies through your usage of the internet is saved on a server in Iceland.
The IP address is anonymised immediately after the usage and before the data is saved. You can prohibit the installation of cookies by changing the settings on your browser software. If you change your settings in this way, you may no longer be able to access all the functions of this website.
You can decide whether a simple web analysis cookie can be set in your browser in order to facilitate the capture and analysis of various statistical data by the website’s operator.

Embedded YouTube videos
On some of our pages we embed YouTube videos. The operator of the necessary plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube server will be created. In the process, YouTube will be notified as to which page you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour to your person. You can prohibit this by logging out of your YouTube account.
If a YouTube video is started, the provider introduces a cookie that gathers information about the user’s behaviour.
Anyone who has deactivated the saving of cookies for the Google ad programme can also expect that such cookies will not be permitted while watching YouTube videos. YouTube, however, sets non-personal user information in other cookies as well. In order to prevent this, you must block the saving of cookies in your browser.
Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the provider’s data protection statement at: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Altering our data protection stipulations
We reserve the right to alter this data protection statement in accordance with current legal requirements or in order to improve performance in the data privacy policy, for instance by introducing new services. The new data policy then covers your subsequent visits.
