For Schools

You'd like to bring a class of students to visit HAU? Get in touch! We offer several possibilities. Under the catchphrase “scHAU rein” (“Stop by”), you can discover HAU1's historically preserved building with guided tours and experience the theater from a different perspective. In the workshop format that we've developed, “Gib dir richtig…” (“Give yourself proper…”), students can learn to experiment with different aesthetic practices. We are able to organize projects across days or weeks. We offer pre- and post-performance discussions at the theater – and online, via the smartboard from HAU directly into the classroom. If you would like to receive regular updates on our offers for students, simply write an e-mail to houseclub@hebbel-am-ufer.de to subscribe to our newsletter for schools in which we can recommend productions according to grade level or school subject.

HAU to talk

After select performances, there are regularly scheduled talks with artists and experts, touching on aspects of the performance and welcoming the audience to join the conversation. These are announced in the programme, and admission is free.

“Gib dir richtig...!” (“Give yourself proper…”)

On request, we offer workshops that are tailored to the form and content of the artistic works, providing space to exchange ideas, ask questions and try things out with a hands-on approach. Based on each group's particular interests, these workshops are are longer and more intensive than the talks, extending beyond the scope of just one performance.

scHAU rein!

As a point of entry to our programme, we offer interactive guided tours that provide insight on the stage equipment, architecture and history of HAU Hebbel am Ufer.
