Anne Collod

Biography

Anne Collod is a performer and choreographer of contemporary dance. In 1993, she cofounded the dance collective Quatuor Albrecht Knust, of which she was a member until 2001. The collective specialised in revitalising choreographies from the early 20th century. It was in this context that Collod recreated Nijinsky’s legendary "L’Après-midi d’un faune". The project of reinterpreting seminal works in the history of dance is something that Collod is still pursuing today. Since 2001, in a range of contexts, she has explored the idea of "togetherness" in dance, often in collaboration with the American dance pioneer Anna Halprin.
