Dror Moreh

Biography

Dror Moreh was born in Jerusalem in 1961 and works as a director, photographer and film producer. He studied in the department of film and television at Tel Aviv University and, after graduating, first worked as a cameraman for various Israeli film and television productions. His directorial debut was in 1994 with his film “Ha-Ach Shel Driks”. In 2008 he also worked as screenwriter and producer for the first time for the documentary “Sharon”. “Sharon” and “Urban Feel” (1998) were both shown at the Berlin Film Festival. In 2012 Moreh garnered  attention all over the world with the Israeli documentary “The Gatekeepers”, which concerns the Israeli perspective on conflict in the Middle East. The film was nominated for an Oscar in 2013.
