Hundreds

Biography

On March 14, 2015, “Aftermath” will be released, the second album by the Hamburg electropop due Hundreds, made up of the siblings Eva and Philipp Milner. Their first, extremely successful record “Hundreds” came out in 2010, produced with a small budget. This was followed by concerts throughout Europe, including in Paris, London, Milan and Brussels. They played sold-out shows at the Volksbühne here in Berlin and at Kampfnagel in Hamburg, and appeared at international festivals such as South by Southwest (Austin, Texas), Iceland Airwaves and The Great Escape (UK). They have been at work on their new album “Aftermath” for a year and a half. The British producer David Pye, who has worked with such artists as the Wild Beasts, was responsible for the final polish. “Aftermath” is almost bombastic and at the same time quite reserved, in part due to Eva Milner, who creates her own universe with her rich metaphoric language. She sings about catharsis and longing for lost innocence, about farewells and limits, about slipping away and starting over, about love and decline as well as about external influences and surrendering the self.
