Joseph Abdou

Biography

Joseph Abdou was born in France in 1954 and is professor of mathematics at Paris 1 and the École d’Économie in Paris. His research focuses on game theory, strategic models of finance, theories of social selection, and strategic and cooperative models in politics and mathematics as applied to economics. In addition, he is a member of the CSE Math-Info of Paris I and a board member of both UFR 27 and Labo CERMSEM. He has published numerous books and articles, including “Effectivity Functions in Social Choice” with Kluwer Academic Publishers (1991). This was followed by several articles such as “The Structure of Unstable Power Systems” in 2009 or “The structure of unstable power mechanisms” in 2010 with Springer.
