Kathrin Busch

Biography

Kathrin Busch, professor at the University of the Arts Berlin, studied philosophy, art, history and literature at the University of Hamburg and received her doctorate from the Graduate Department of Phenomenology and Hermeneutics at the Ruhr University-Bochum. From 2002-2009 she was a junior professor at the University of Lüneberg, after which she held a professorship for cultural theory at the Merz Akademie Stuttgart until 2010. Alongside cultural theory, contemporary French philosophy and aesthetics, her research focuses on theories of how artistic knowledge is formed. Among her numerous publications are “Anderes Wissen” (2016), “P – Passivität, Reihe: Stimmungsatlas in Einzelbänden” (2012) and “Theorien der Passivität” (2013).
