Manal Khader

Biography

Manal Khader is a Palestinian writer, editor and actress based in Beirut. Since 2010 she has been the Co-editor of Kalamon, a Beirut based cultural quarterly review published in Arabic. She played leading and supporting roles in Arab and international films, such as “Divine Intervention” (2002) by Palestinian Director Elia Suleiman, “Everyday is a Holiday” (2009) by Lebanese director Dima Horr and together with Rabih Mroué in “The Ugly One” (2013) by French Director Eric Baudelaire. In 2015 she co-edited a book titled “Arabic language and social media” together with Lebanese linguist and historian Ahmad Baydoun. She is currently writing a book with the working title “Jerusalem, Berlin Nicosia and Beirut”.
