Maria Rößler

Biography

Maria Rößler studied theater in Berlin/Dublin and international dramaturgy in Amsterdam/Ghent. As an independent dramaturg, she works with theater artists such as Samara Hersch, Abhishek Thapar and Gosia Wdowik, as well as for art festivals such as Zürcher Theater Spektakel and other cultural event organizers. At HAU, she presented the lecture performance “Right Is the Might of the Community” together with Nathan Fain in 2013 and she collaborated on the HAU production “speculative bitches” by Nuray Demir as a dramaturg in 2019. Maria Rößler is the co-curator of the international program focus “Every Day. Feminist Struggles in Post-Socialist Europe” which took place at HAU in March 2025. Maria was born in the German Democratic Republic in 1987. She lives in Berlin.
