Peter Pannke

Biography

Peter Pannke is a singer, writer, curator and producer. He studied Sinology, Indology and comparative religion and musicology, living for many years in Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and India. He curated the festival “Parampara! – Indische Musik auf dem Weg nach Westen” and “Pakistani Soul” at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin. From 1990-2009 he moderated the “Musik der Kontinente” on RBB Kulturradio, he published several books like “Dreamtalker – Songs, Poems, Essays” (2010) and was awarded the Rabindranath Tagore Kulturpreis in 2009.
