Maria F. Scaroni

Maria F. Scaroni studied literature and has taught dance technique. Her works move between performance, choreography and installation and focus on various forms of collaboration and the play with temporal experience. Scaroni is a member of the artists network AADK (Aktuelle Architektur der Kultur) in Berlin. In 2009 she was invited by Meg Stuart to appear as part of the HAU festival Politics of Ecstasy. This resulted in what is by now a long-term collaboration, encompassing the works “Auf den Tisch” (2011), “Built to Last” (2012), “Sketches/Notebook” (2013) and “UNTIL OUR HEART STOPS” (2015), some of which were created in cooperation with the Ruhrtriennale and the Munich Kammerspiele. Scaroni was seen at HAU Hebbel am Ufer in 2013 and 2014 in “Built to Last” and “Sketches/Notebooks”. In 2016, along with Meg Stuart and a variety of guest performers, she has developed the improvisation series “City Lights – a continuous gathering#1”.
