Dear former past...

  • Audio walk
German /  English /  approx. 90 mins.

In “Dear former past…” participants listen to the observations and reports of a time traveller from a future that is the result of our current way of life: waste, loss of species, climate change are part of this world, but also better solidarity, more foresight, redistribution, technological and political progress. The future is a complex field of possibilities. The world of “Dear former past…” is based on cyclixe's book “Ulterior Flux”, which was created in 2018 as part of a residency at the Akademie der Künste Berlin. With the realisation of the book as an augmented reality audio walk, ghostrich (technology tinkerer) & cylixe (media artist and filmmaker) explore new levels of immersion as part of their residency at HAU. Participants discover virtual installations, audio experiences and images from the future that envelop today's Berlin like a new skin. The future and present of the city intermingle in a semi-fictional space.
