In the interactive game “Deficit”, players experience in an entertaining way what everyday life with ADHD can feel like – from flirting at a party to overwhelming conferences.
The semi-fictional, interactive game “Deficit” is based on real experiences with ADHD. Using text clusters, players navigate through various everyday experiences of people with ADHD – such as attending a conference, flirting at a party, ordering a coffee or tidying their own room – and thus encounter different facets of neurodiverse perceptions and the structural barriers that many spaces and everyday situations have. The experiences in the game are presented in an entertaining and varied way. Gav Sarafian is committed to an inclusive and diverse play practice. With “Deficit,” the game developer wants to give an exemplary insight into life with ADHD through an accessible computer game.
