Salia Sanou turns to one of his favourite themes: the loneliness and otherness of the individual and the simultaneous question of territory, uprooting, exile and borders. The choreographer and dancer here works through his impressions and experiences from refugee camps in Burundi and Burkina Faso, where he conducted workshops as part of the project “Refugees on the Move”. Threatened by the jahidist occupation and the fighting in the neighbouring country of Mali, many people are forced to get by in the tightest of spaces, where they attempt to overcome their trauma.
