Berlinale Talents 2017

  • Dialogue

“Why don’t you get a real job?”, “There is no audience for this”, “No one will ever finance this movie” – most filmmakers have had to put up with these comments. For its 15th anniversary, Berlinale Talents encourages filmmakers to show “Courage: Against All Odds”. From 11 to 16 February, HAU Hebbel am Ufer will welcome 250 promising talents and over 100 international experts and Berlinale stars. Audiences are invited to join in the conversation about bold subject matters, fearless narrative explorations and how to defy artistic, political and financial restrictions.

The programme includes panel discussions, film screenings and presentations. Tickets can be purchased online, at Berlinale ticket counters and on the day of the event at HAU Hebbel am Ufer.

You can find the complete programme online via www.berlinale-talents.de, with 25 events and five film screenings open to the public as well as to industry and festival guests. Click here for ticket information.

Berlinale Talents is an initiative of the Berlin International Film Festival, a business division of the Kulturveranstaltungen des Bundes in Berlin GmbH, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, in cooperation with Creative Europe MEDIA programme of the European Union, Robert Bosch Stiftung and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
