Chocolate Remix

Concert

  • Music

Producer, rapper, and singer Romina Bernardo counters the sexist tendencies of Reggeaton music as Chocolate Remix with a queer-feminist perspective, highlighting experiences from the LGBTIQ* community such as discrimination, censorship, and violence. Her lyrics are sharp and eloquent but also full of satire and humour, delivering strong political and social content. Sonically, Chocolate Remix dives into the various styles of reggaeton, mixing them with cumbia, carioca funk, and dembow.
