Ivo Dimchev

English / 60min

With his current piece "Operville" the exceptional artist Ivo Dimchev has dedicated an entire piece to the powerful force of the voice, an improvised opera. Along with the singer Plamena Girginova, the singer Nikolay Voynov and the musician Stefan Hristov he makes use of the whole arsenal of opera music without restraint, standard poses, gestures and tunings, in order to meld singing and the singing body into a perfect 'Borderline Event'.

Coproduction: Kaaitheater, Humarts Foundation. Presented in the context of House on Fire with support by the Cultural Programme of the European Union.
