15:00-18:00
On the first day of “Celebrating Neighbourhood,” HAU2 will be transformed into a kind of street festival with music and dance acts from the neighbourhood, delicious mezes, installations, inviting beats and games. There is something to discover around every corner. Come along and bring your friends and neighbours from near and far!

Tatreez Berlin invites you to discover the art of traditional Palestinian embroidery – a craft that preserves experiences, memories and resources.

Together with the Nähwerkstatt (sewing workshop), you can make pennants and garlands to turn the stage into a festival venue. To take away and connect – for future celebrations and activities.

The choir Eskimeyenler, groups from KMAntenne and the F1 district centre will be performing live.

MINA-Leben in Vielfalt (MINA-Life in Diversity) will exhibit the portraits “Dream Jobs,” which were created in collaboration with the Peira collective and artists Aliza Yanes Viacava and Ximena Gutiérrez as part of the Sister*hood project. In workshops, girls from MINA explored their dream jobs artistically and made costumes that convey their superpowers. The visions are full of love, patience and balance – qualities that the girls consider important for their professions. The outfits show the superpower that lies within each of them.

6zm (aka Gizem Oruç) is a Berlin-based DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for their genre-spanning, experimental DJ sets and strong community focus.

The team of Spielmobil is spreading its offerings – in front of and inside HAU2 – for everyone who enjoys playing. Whether big or small, there's something for everyone here!

Snacks and meze: local, delicious, free and made with love.

Relaxation room: A place to take a deep breath and rest while the colourful hustle and bustle rages outside.

Zusammen stimmen!
With Santiago Blaum
We invite you to improvise – finding harmony and losing it again. Together we will develop a short piece of music. Everyone is welcome: there are no fixed roles, just listening, playing and discovering together.

Break for dinner, relaxation and socialising

Durch unsere Augen (Through Our Eyes) / A neighbourhood film by and starring women from Mehringplatz
For many years, there has been a close connection between the women of the Arab Theme Table at Mehringplatz and HAU Hebbel am Ufer.
In the film ‘Through Our Eyes’, which premiered at HAU1 in February 2024, the women tell their own stories – as authors, directors and designers of image and sound. Together with filmmaker Therese Koppe, they spent a long time learning cinematic techniques. The result is a documentary-style essay film that draws on their experiences: everyday life, challenges and joys in urban Berlin.
