English / ca. 120 min.
Jace Clayton’s lecture performance will discuss the creative upheavals of art production in our globalized world. How are sounds made, circulated and used, and what new social and economic possibilities emerge? Using video and audio examples Clayton will explore some of the themes from his book: the grassroots transformation of digital technology, the invention of World Music and a critique of the music industry.
