Peaches Does Herself

    English /  80 minutes

Two years ago the Canadian musician and performer Peaches presented her anti-jukebox-musical "Peaches Does Herself" on the HAU stage. She turned this performance into a film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and will now be presented in Berlin. Inspired by a 65-year-old stripper Peaches finds her sexually explicit stage persona, comes into conflict with her fans’ expectations and falls in love with a breath-taking transsexual. In this semi-autobiographical story she grapples with the topics of gender, age and beauty, but it is also just a brilliant electro-rock-opera.
