Oasis/dotwet

  • Performance
English /  approx. 60 mins.

“Oasis/dotwet” is a hybrid cyber-hydro-feminist project that challenges norms and taboos around the body and sexuality. As part of their residency, the artist:s explored bodily fluids that are often ignored, linked to guilt or appropriated. An e-textile equipped with a moisture sensor collects data from the crotch, allowing its moisture and “crotch weather” to be surveyed. Using the pants data, a performance including a virtual world is created. Iyo Bisseck (interaction designer), Petja Ivanova (technology design artist), Rain Rose (dancer) and Kaya Zakrzewska (dancer) present their project.
