The Moving Image – A Series of Video Works

  • Film
180 mins.

In the studio space above HAU2, the room will transform into a cinema, creating another focused audio-visual encounter with Jefta van Dinther’s work. Here audiences can experience autonomous video works, music videos, and documentation of stage performances, connected to the live performances at HAU1 and HAU2. The programme will include the art films “Dark Field Analysis” (2020) and “On Earth I’m Done: Mountains” (2021), the documentation of “Protagonist” (2016), a split-screen documentation of “AUSLAND” (2024), and the music video “Monument” by Robyn & Röyksopp (2014). By bringing these works together, “The Moving Image” invites audiences to trace the visual language, recurring themes, and atmospheric textures that characterise Van Dinther’s practice, offering a space for immersion.
