Kongress der Sorge

A Networking Day for Labour Struggles and Feminist Initiatives on the Occasion of the Day of Care on 12 May

With the Kongress der Sorge (“Congress of Care”), HAU opens its doors to feminist initiatives, current labour struggles in the field of care and activists from urban society. For one day, HAU2 will be a place for exchange of experiences: in workshops, talks and panel discussions, spa-ces of possibility will be created for broad queerfeminist networking and solidarity. After two years of the Corona pandemic and the successful struggle of the Berlin health-care workers’ movement, it’s clear: there is no way back to the so-called normal. This congress serves as a forum to discuss and develop feminist alternatives to a society based on competition and profit. Neighbours, colleagues and friends are invited to join activists, theorists and hospital strikers in a collective thought process. For one day, HAU2 will be a site for exchanging experiences: workshops, roundtables and panel discussions will create solidarity across a broad queer feminist network. How can we envision a cooperative, needs-oriented way of communal life from a perspective of care? How can we fight for the care revolution?
