Right of Passage

Limited capacity, reservation required

  • Performance
German /  Time slots start at 19:00, 19:30, 19:50, 20:10, 20:30

In their latest production, the theatrical game designers of machina eX guide the audience into a former refugee camp. The camp at the border to the Loeric Republic is an autonomous sociotope, and its inhabitants fight over papers and work. This gives rise to collaborations, mutual aid and negotiation, but also power imbalances and exploitation. The pressure on the inhabitants increases. The border becomes more and more impermeable and there is always the threat that it will close.

Production: machina eX and FFT Düsseldorf. Co-production: Roxy Birsfelden, Theaterhaus Gessnerallee, studiobühneköln and Theater im Pumpenhaus Münster. „Right of Passage“ and the tour are funded by Fonds Doppelpass of the German Federal Culture Foundation.
