“Sènsa” is a Bantu term that translates as “to become visible” or “to appear from a distance”. Paul Maheke, Nkisi, and Ariel Efraim Ashbel combine movement, sound, and light to explore diasporic imaginations and ancestral knowledge. As the music alternates between atmospheric waves and haunting twitches, ghostly shadows emerge and murmured words sound like spells.

This event can be combined with “Macho Dancer” by Eisa Jocson.
