Plattenspieler with Thomas Meinecke and Sasha Perera

Part of the HAU series “Plattenspieler”

English / approximately 120min

Thomas Meinecke invites various partners to talk about music, their cultural assumptions, their visual preferences, and the stories that one can experience along the way. At the first Plattenspieler of the new season, he will be talking with singer, producer and DJ Sasha Perera. Born and raised in London with family roots in Sri Lanka, she lives in Berlin since 2000. Together with Robot Koch and Oren Gerlitz she founded the band Jahcoozi, one of the few 2-step projects in Germany, and she has worked with Modeselektor, the Teichmann Brothers and Gonjasufi. In 2013 she published her acclaimed first solo album “Everlast".

For the HAU event series “Plattenspieler" Thomas Meinecke invites guests on a regular basis.
