As a cross-genre, narrative artist, Rasha Nahas has created her own unique musical universe – one that grew underground and remains connected to it in attitude and aesthetics to this day. The Berlin-based Palestinian singer from Haifa is a composer, actress and multi-instrumentalist. Her sound combines raw electric rock, poetic condensation and trans-traditional influences, moving effortlessly between Arabic and English.
Her debut album “Desert” (2021) chronicled her migration, identity and inner reorientation. With the acclaimed two-part work “Amrat” (2023), recorded in the occupied Golan Heights and released by UK label Cooking Vinyl, her path led from international festival stages such as Glastonbury to the Columbiahalle in Berlin and on tours across five continents.
2026 marks an exciting new chapter: her upcoming album, produced by Meshell Ndegeocello, is her most ambitious work to date, featuring a powerhouse lineup of musicians. Alongside an international tour, the record finds Nahas stepping into a bold new phase: confident, expansive, and unafraid to push her sound further than ever before. Beyond her own releases, she also composes for film, theatre, and dance, and is a recipient of the Bertha Foundation’s Artivism Award.
She launches this new era with a special headline show at HAU Hebbel am Ufer, unveiling a new single and a powerful live set. Ahead of the album’s official release in October, audiences will get an exclusive first listen to unreleased songs performed live for the very first time. Known for her magnetic stage presence and uncompromising sound, Nahas curates an unforgettable evening that introduces a bolder, more assertive era: a sonic journey as intimate as it is electrifying.
