Just Call Me Angel of the Morning

Part of the festival HEINER MÜLLER!

70min

In Heiner Müller’s “DESPOILED SHORE MEDEAMATERIAL LANDSCAPE WITH ARGONAUTS” ecological catastrophes and wars (between the sexes) are placed in a mythical tradition. Medea, Jason and the Argonauts, who cannot find the shore. But why “break humanity in two” at all? Using the figure of the ‘angel of history’ (Walter Benjamin), unlucky and desperate in Müller, Damian Rebgetz and Paul Hankinson provide a musical response.

Supported by Platform. With thanks to Münchner Kammerspiele.
