FEELINGS
Biography
FEELINGS comprises the artistic works, performative research, games, and feelings that Jil Dreyer and Josef Mehling have been developing with and for each other since 2017. The basis of their work is a shared interest in corporeality, identity and situatedness – often in connection with the personal and biographical. FEELINGS develops on- and offline performances, audio pieces, and games that bring the audience into affective, immersive situations.
Previous works have been presented at Staatstheater Mainz, FELD Theater Berlin, Maxim Gorki Theater, Gessnerallee Zürich, and as fellows of the Institut für Digitaldramatik (Nationaltheater Mannheim, 2021/22). Recent productions include “Society Intact” (Ballhaus Ost, 2022), the story game “i saw you called?” (HAU, 2024), the immersive performance “Agnus Dei” (with fachbetrieb rita grechen, Societätstheater Dresden, 2024), the multimedia project “TRACING” (Uferstudios, 2024), and “FAT CAMP” (Ballhaus Ost, 2025). They have developed educational projects with Gorki X and FELD Theater and in rural Brandenburg.
