Biography

Schorsch Kamerun (*1963 in Timmendorfer Strand) is – according to his official biography – one of the best 17 people. He lives in Hamburg and at the Baltic Sea. For more than 30 years he has been the singer of the band “Die Goldenen Zitronen”. In addition to his music, he has produced extraordinary works as a theatre director at nearly every major German-language theatre. Kamerun has been awarded the War Blinded Audio Play Prize, toured the world and co-founded the Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg with his childhood friend Rocko Schamoni. In 2011 he was guest professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He recently gave a solo concert (2013) at HAU Hebbel am Ufer and is now appearing on stage here for the first time as director and actor.
