Minority Algorithm

  • Film
Chinese /  English /

“Minority Algorithm” traces the void left by algorithmic governance within an increasingly interconnected society. Through the peeping lens of short video apps, war footage gamified by social media, AI-generated landscapes, and the invisible labor of data annotation, the video work maps how computing power reshapes perception, empathy, and solitude. In a world saturated by algorithmic connection, being alone is not a personal failure – it is a condition produced by the very systems that promise togetherness.

aaajiao is a media artist based in Berlin and Shanghai. His practice spans installation, video, software, and game design, exploring how data shapes identity and how networks restructure existence. He exhibits internationally at institutions including HKW Berlin, Centre Pompidou, and ZKM.
