Are you trans, queer, Black or BIPoC and always wanted to know what ballroom actually is? Maybe you've seen videos on Insta or TikTok where QT*BIPoC walk confidently down the runway – with fierce catwalks, bold poses and lots of attitude. They are strong, loud and full of self-confidence – without hiding or feeling ashamed.

Ballroom culture celebrates trans, queer, black and BIPoC people in their diversity and strength. But it's more than just dancing or looking good - above all, it's community. A space where we stick together, support and empower each other. Especially because many of us experience exclusion and discrimination in everyday life because of our skin colour, origin, gender or sexuality.

How good that these safer spaces also exist in Berlin. Want to know where? Then come to the Berlin Ballroom Pier open day!
Berlin Ballroom Pier (BBP) is a project by the community for the community. A safer space where you can dance, learn, try things out, empower yourself and network with others who are also trans and/or queer and BIPoC.

We offer practice balls, workshops, community events and skill sharing – all about ballroom, creativity, resistance and joy.
Now is your chance to get to know BBP! Come along, get involved and be part of the scene.
The open day by Ballroom Pier will be led by US Kiki Scene members NYC Godmother Nekia Versace and Brian 007.
