Bringing together works and staff councils, committees, working groups and ensemble representatives: FAIRSTAGE invites colleagues from all departments and trades within Berlin’s theatres to discuss workplace co-determination.
Following a round of introductions and a brief presentation by ver.di, we will discuss the structure and effectiveness of representative bodies in smaller groups. Afterwards, there will be time for an open discussion. Everyone is invited – whether you hold a relevant position, feel that such a role is lacking in your own organisation, or are simply interested in the perspectives and interests of theatre workers. The FAIRSTAGE meeting point is a shared space for discussion, where we can exchange views on specific problems and broader issues facing those working in Berlin’s theatre sector. It also serves as a platform for networking amongst employees from Berlin’s various theatres and the independent theatre scene. FAIRSTAGE is a pilot project committed to promoting non-discriminatory and good working conditions in Berlin’s theatres.
The FAIRSTAGE project is a joint initiative of Diversity Arts Culture, ensemble-netzwerk and LAFT Berlin – Landesverband freie darstellende Künste Berlin e.V., and is funded by the State of Berlin – Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion.
