Davis Freeman and Sylvia Habermann are once again guests at the Houseclub from mid-May to mid-June. During their Houseclub residency they will focus on the topic and aesthetics of China, thus intensively addressing the project “We like China and China likes us”.
Under the guidance of Davis Freeman and Sylvia Habermann, the young people will create short scenes that will flow into Kung Fu choreographies that they will develop themselves, performed with fake Chinese. They will test out the aesthetic possibilities of using big Kung Fu gestures and fake Chinese to make their stories comprehensible to an audience. At the same time, they will ask one another about their own experiences with Chinese culture here in Kreuzberg, lending the project an analytical dimension.
The Houseclub-reisdency is part of the project "We like China and China likes us" – Ein TANZFONDS PARTNER Projekt.
