To mark the group's 15th anniversary, machina-eX co-founder Robin Hädicke, who now works as a coach at the Game Innovation Lab at the University of Bayreuth, will provide practical insights into the ‘machinist’ approach to game design processes in this three-hour workshop. Participants will deal with the differentiation and design of problems, puzzles and riddles and their various functions as central elements of playful challenges. By developing small prototypes and analysing examples, participants will explore the methods and objectives of different designs. In short: a workshop for all those who love tricky problems and want to know how they can be designed, structured and meaningfully integrated into the game design of an interactive experience.
