Bouchra Ouizguen

Ha!

  • Dance
40 Min

Inspired by the quatrains of Persian poet and Sufi mystic Rûmî, Bouchra Ouizguen sets out to probe the obsessions lurking in each of us. She shares the stage with Aïtas – cabaret singers who are both celebrated and scorned as loose women in Moroccan society. They sing and dance madness, this “richness of reason” relegated to the fringes of society. Ouizguen looks into the roots of her own country, beyond the marks left by history.s
