An evening that unfolds the complexity of Perera Elsewhere's music: atmospheric, mysterious and imbued with a pressing topicality.

Sasha Perera, alias Perera Elsewhere, is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer, DJ and sound researcher. Born in London, with roots in Sri Lanka and now based in Berlin, she develops music that transcends all boundaries – between electronic club culture, avant-pop, experimental rap, grime and ambient soundscapes. Her songs are at once intimate and political, poetic and rebellious, characterised by an openness to global musical trends and a clear stance on contemporary issues. In addition to numerous previous awards, she was named Best Act at the 2022 VUT Indie Awards and won the Female* Producer Prize in 2024.

Perera Elsewhere will perform at HAU1 together with her band. As part of “On Planetary Justice”, she will combine new tracks from her upcoming album “Just Wanna Live Some” (release date 24 October 2025) with compositions she developed for audiovisual installations by Anne Duk Hee Jordan. Music such as “Der Würm 1 & 2” and “Post Everything” reflect the transformation and resilience of nature in the face of the climate crisis – soundscapes that make fragility and resilience audible at the same time.
