In the fourth edition of the “MENA Prison Forum in Berlin,” the film “Surviving the Death Committee” describes the quest for justice of two people whose lives were altered by the impact of the mass executions in Iran in the 1980s. The film shows personal stories and legal triumphs. This will be followed by a discussion moderated by journalist Gilda Sahebi about the film and the fight for more justice with director Nima Sarvestani and Patrick Kroker from the ECCHR (European Centre for Constitutional and Human Rights), which represents survivors and victims of serious human rights crimes before European courts in accordance with the principle of universal jurisdiction.
