X-BERG Kız Meslek Chor & Adir Jan / Erregung Öffentlicher Erregung

Concert

  • Music

Concerts blending choir, queer pop, and raw urgency. At HAU2, “Berlin bleibt! #5” brings together collective voices, psychedelic boundary-crossing, and post-punk friction, making the diversity of urban life palpable:

The ten-member queer X-BERG Kız Meslek Choir, led by Emrah Gökmen, brings multilingual, Turkish-Kurdish choral music to the stage. Rooted in collective practice, the choir brings together migrant, anti-fascist, feminist, and internationalist perspectives. As a guest, Adir Jan will enrich the evening with his “Cosmopolitan Kurdesque” – blending Kurdish references, psychedelic elements, and global sounds.

The evening is complemented by a concert from the band Erregung Öffentlicher Erregung, whose post-punk—blending Neue Deutsche Welle aesthetics with contemporary urgency—offers a pointed perspective on urban life today. Oscillating between irony and laconic humor, they distill social tensions into precise songs: sometimes light, sometimes dark, but always haunting.
