May Fall

Part of “NO LIMITS 2026”

  • Dance

Why do we resist our desires? Behind hypnotically billowing curtains, “May Fall” reveals a mysterious world of movement, longing and desire. Choreographer Aristide Rontini, together with the dancers of Skånes Dansteater, invites us to shift our perspective on pleasure, curiosity and imagination.

Various relationships and narrative threads emerge, merge and then fade away again. Everyday movements intertwine to create situations full of longing and love, but also full of the friction that arises when desires are suppressed or denied.

The Italian dancer and choreographer Aristide Rontini is a founding member of Al Di Qua, a group of disabled artists and activists campaigning on behalf of disabled artists. In his work, he explores questions of identity and the relationship between the individual, society and nature. For “May Fall”, he is collaborating with Skånes Dansteater from Malmö, a contemporary dance company that regards inclusion and accessibility as central elements of its work.
